Pietro Lo Monaco, director of Serie A team Catania stated today that he fully expects Fiorentina to attempt to sign the Argentinian born defender Pablo Alvarez during the winter transfer window, in January 2025. Prior to joining Catania, Alvarez played for both Boca Juniors and Argentinos Juniors. Lo Monaco revealed that he hasn’t discussed a signing with anyone at Fiorentina, yet….
Should Fiorentina come knocking for Alvarez, we would listen to their offer. It is no secret that a good rapport exists between the two clubs. Should a good offer arrive, we would have no problem negotiating. Alvarez is undoubtedly a quality player who can play on both sides of the pitch, and is ready to play for a bigger club.
